Based on Faraday’s Law, which is whenever electrons flow through a conductor, it will develop magnetic field in the conductor. It is called electromagnetism. Otherwise, when a coil of wire is give an electromagnetic field it will produce an electrical current at the coil of wire and the current that has been produced can supply the energy to the load. It is also similar with the principle of transformers where it basically consists of two electrical coils of wire, one called the “Primary Winding” and another called the “Secondary Winding”. When an electric current passed through the primary winding, a magnetic field is developed which induces a voltage into the secondary winding. This technology will solve numerous problem including energy efficiency, effectiveness, power disruptions, and environmental issues as well. The WPT is originally founded by Nicholas Tesla in 1900 but the project development could not go further due the shortage of funds. In 2005, a professor from MIT named Dr. Marin Soljacic has found out the new wireless power transfer when he got an idea from his cell-phone that always beeping to remind him to charge the phone. This project is concerned about the characteristics of Wireless Power Transfer based on the number of turns, diameter of turns, the input voltage, cross sectional area of coils, and the frequency of coils. Consequently, they are influenced the distance, output voltage, and the signal waveform between transmitter and receiver coils.
