IPv6 have greater and larger bit which can support large of host compared to IPv4, but the questions remains if EIGRP and OSPF can perform better in IPv6 concerning of it’s bigger packet header than IPv4. Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) is an advanced version of IGP (Interior Gateway Protocol) which suited for many different topologies and media. In a network, EIGRP scales well and provides extremely quick convergence times with minimal network traffic. Although it is a distance vector routing protocol, its own DUAL (Diffusion Update Algorithm) had changed it to operate like a link-state routing protocol. Also EIGRP is CISCO proprietary protocol which can be used only on cisco equipment compared to OSPF. Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is a link state routing protocol with Dijkstra Algorithm which populate IP table with the best path to each network with a complete map of network topology compared to EIGRP. The main focus of this study is to analyze based on sent packet, shortest route, Metric and Time delay for both routing protocol in IPv4 and IPv6 network. The result of analysis will contribute to clear valuation in considering which routing protocol best used in desired network by network engineer and improvement in routing protocol algorithm by vendor. 2014-10-07T01:35:05Z 2014-10-07T01:35:05Z 2014-10-07 http://localhost/xmlui/handle/123456789/7846 en
