Based on the result, the species that were caught at UMS jetty water consist of 14 species from nine families; Carangidae (N=4), Leiognathidae (N=3), Lutjanidae (N=38), Monodactylidae (N=13), Pomacentridae (N=10), Portunidae (N=87), Serranidae( N=4), Siganidae( N=4) and Sphyraenidae(N =1). Statisticala nalysis was performed to find the catch differences between the spring and neap tides and between the day and night period. Chi-Square test, Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis test is chosen to perform the statistical analysis. Software SPSS version 12 for Windows is used for computing the Chi-Square test, Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis test. Species of Charybdis annulata from family Portunidae is the dominant catch with total 82 catch (50%). The lowest amounts of catch are the Lutjanus malabaricus and Sphyraena barracuda with total of one catch each. For spring tide, total number of catch is 79 catch and for neap tide, the total number of catch is 85 catch. For day period, total number of catch is 83 catch. Meanwhile for night period, the number of catch is 81 catch. Statistical analysis for spring and neap tides shows that there are no significant differences in the total amount of catch.
