Description
Summary:In this paper, the steady boundary layer flow and heat transfer over a stretching sheet with convective boundary conditions are studied, where the heat is supplied to the convecting fluid through a bounding surface with a finite heat capacity. The nonlinear boundary layer equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations which are then solved numerically via the Keller-box method. Numerical solutions are obtained for the wall temperature, the local heat transfer coefficient for various values of the Prandtl number and the conjugate parameter. The effect of these parameters is discussed and it was found that the boundary layer thickness increases as conjugate parameter increases but opposite trend is observed for the increasing value of Pr.
