Agility ministry of tourism in boosting tourism activities and attractions have opened the eyes of both international and local travellers to tourist destinations available in Malaysia For example, make improvements to tourist destinations located throughout Malaysia, promotion widely to the world, and also exploration destinations. Therefore, it has attracted the attention of tourists who are all over the world to come to visit and travel around Malaysia. Foreign tourists have the opportunity to take a closer look at the culture and history of the people of Malaysia. They also have the opportunity to learn the language of "native" Malaysia is unique with its own dialect, soft and rich with meaning implied. Even so, the parties involved in the tourism sector were found to have problems in terms of interacting or communicating. Such as English, languages outside the country also have their own dialect. Consequently, with the presence of tourists comes from various nations and cultures have given the difficulty of communicating with the charge in the tourism industry. As the tourism industry to grow rapidly, it is proposed to encourage Malaysians to learn and master various languages to raise the prestige and image of the country and support the desire of the tourism ministry, which wants to be known in the eyes of the world. The primary data of this study was collected through questionnaire survey, 300 of Kuala Terengganu visitors and local community were selected as the respondents to do the survey of this research. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24 was used by the researchers after the data and information were collected. Types of data analysis that used in this study were reliability analysis, frequency analysis and descriptive analysis. Furthermore, Spearman's Correlations Coefficient was used in this study to examine the relationship between the independent variables (race, educational level and geographical location) and dependent variable (language barrier and dialect) among PulauPerhentian visitors and local community. The result was showed that all the independent variables had positive significant relationship with language barrier and dialect.
