Summary:The research area for general geology is at Kg.Slow Temiang and the area of specification is at Jeli-Dabong-Sg.sam Highway, Kelantan. From observation, the area show that there is a lot of slope that failed around the highway. Geological mapping has been used as the process of making observation and doing an investigation of geology in the field. A GIS-based methodology has been used in the thesis in order to produce a Distribution Map of Vegetation on hillslopes area along Jeli-Dabong-Sg Sam Highway, Kelantan. The aim of this study was to produce the geological map at study area of Kg Slow Temiang with scale l:25,000, identify type of vegetation that help to strengthen the slope and to prepare a map to determine vegetation distribution on hillslope using Geographical Information System by doing a maximum entropy distribution modeling or MAXENT in order to predict the potential distribution of Dicranopteris linearis, using small number of occurrence that was collected at the field. The method use is geological mapping in order to collect the rock and vegetation sampling. Besides, data collection also from secondary data such as World Bioclimatic data and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) data in order to produce a map. The result show that the distribution of Dicranopteris linearis were distributed along the centre of Kelantan which is at Jeli-Dabong-Kuala Krai area. Hence it proved that the area was hillslopes area because the species only can be found at the type of locality.
