The objective of this study is to determine the protein content in kenaf at different stage of maturity. The second objective is to compare the percentage protein content in different part of plant. . The third objective is to measure the dry matter or dry weight of kenaf in order to know the average of protein content per dry weight. The treatment of this study is maturity stage and plant part. There are three treatments for maturity stage i.e.: one month old kenaf, two month old kenaf and three month old kenaf. All of the kenaf will dry to get the dry weight. Then, it will bring to the lab to determine the protein content. The method that used to test protein is Kjeldahl method. The data will be analyzed by using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the differences among means were compared by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The finding revealed that kenaf at one month old have highest protein content and leaf contains higher protein than stem. Dry matter increase as maturity stage advanced. 2011 Undergraduate Final Project Report NonPeerReviewed Wan Afifah Wan Ghazali (2011) Commercial production kenaf for animal feed.
