Description
Summary:Bokashi is a type of organic soil amendment which helps nourishes growth of crops such as sweet corn. This research explores the potential of bokashi as an organic soil amendment by observing its effects on the vegetative and generative growth of sweet corn. Previous studies have failed to recognize the optimal amount of bokashi for sweet corn cultivation. Based on this research, 8000kg/ha bokashi application achieved the greatest height and biomass weight. The greatest number of leaf is achieved by three treatments which are 0kg/ha bokashi, 4000kg/ha bokashi and 8000kg/ha bokashi. The fastest tasseling and silking is achieved by 6000kg/ha bokashi which also achieved the greatest weight of cob. These results reveal that 6000kg/ha bokashi minimizes tasseling and silking period and maximizes cob weight. In terms of cost-effectiveness and profitability, 2000kg/ha bokashi displayed the highest profitability.
