Temperature, relative humidity, and light cycle were regulated environmental parameters in growth chambers. A system providing optimum temperature and humidity was needed to increase growth and reduce plantlets mortality. Therefore, this project was carried out to determine the efficiency of growth chambers towards acclimatization of orchid tissue culture. There have four main treatments were used in this project that was outside the chamber which control treatment (TO), inside the growth chamber with the fertilizer that was applied to the plantlets (T1), inside the growth chamber without fertilizer (T2), and outside the growth chamber with fertilizer on the plantlets (T3) The plant height, number of leaves, number of roots and root length were recorded. Determination of the survival and growth of the orchid was observed in this experiment. Based on this study, the orchid plantlet inside the chamber added with fertilizer (T1) was the best condition for the survival and growth of the transplanted orchids. Therefore, the plant height and roots length in plantlets under T1 was 4.01 cm and 3.86 cm respectively with an average of 5 leaves and 9 number roots per plant. The acclimatization in this study proved that growth chamber could be potential for application in orchid tissue culture. 2022 Undergraduate Final Project Report NonPeerReviewed Muhamad Irfan Hakim Azmi (2022) The efficency of growth chamber towards Orchid tissue culture acclimatization.
