Summary:Management is one of important role to all business in the world. Normally, the success of any business depends heavily on the effectiveness of its managers. Good managers need to make the right decisions and ensure the business is able to exploit any opportunities open to it. At the same time, good managers protect the business by anticipating and acting against any threats to its welfare. Based on this study, the two case studies used of qualitative method mix types of deduction and induction of data collection was done. This study aims to find a various factors of management failure at famous restaurant in Kelantan. These factors include: (1) lack of leadership, (2) hire wrong person, (3) lack of system, and (4) poor marketing. Henry Fayol founds management activities including planning, organizing, leadership (leadership), coordination (employment), control (monitoring) and all of them can read management process. Among importance of "planning and control" as the first and last duty of manager in the organization to the extent that some management scholars have called it as twins of management. They role of planning define in step development of doing work and also control role in step of evaluating work and in this paper try to express conceptual relationship between this task and what and how role each of them in the organization. This paper presents strategic management as an important business management concept. It defines strategy and explains the key concepts in strategic management; strategic vision, objectives, strategy formulation, strategy implementation, evaluation and initiating corrective action. The study also focuses on the corporate governance aspect of strategic management; role of the board of directors in crafting and executing strategy. The different levels of pitching strategy are also discussed in this paper; corporate, business, functional and operational. All these concepts are examined with a view to highlight their importance in the effective and efficient management of business organizations. In an operating environment that is dynamic and highly competitive, business organizations need to appreciate the importance of crafting and effectively executing strategies that can help them create sustainable competitive advantage. From the findings and my perspectives based on interview, the recommendation to avoid and minimize the factors of management failure at famous restaurant in Kelantan were: (1) attending leadership training, (2) creative and recruiting, (3) create internal system, (4) create social media and collect customer database. With the help of these four methods, the management failure at the restaurant can be solved. This study serves as a platform for future detailed researchers or business development to avoid or minimize the failure of management in food or restaurant industry. The findings have important implication for new restaurant and food industry whose involve in this industry and can use the data as the guideline to overcome a management failure during their operation.
