Bahaism. Theosophy, etc JA Political science (General) Political participation is the fuel for development and political stability. It creates the active will of the governor and the governed and broadens the sense of legitimacy of the political system. This study، therefore، aims at rooting the concept of political participation in Islamic political jurisprudence in theory and practice، clarifying it in the perspective of good governance، and studying the facets of agreements and disagreements between the two perspectives. Recently، the term good governance and its standards have been of great interest in the world، especially after the issuance of the United Nations development reports and a number of international organizations which considered it as a valid model of governance. In addition، they focused on the criterion of active political participation as one of the pillars of comprehensive development. The study، accordingly، included defining the term of good governance as a contemporary political theory، identifying the Islamic political jurisprudence، recognizing the standard of political participation in the two perspectives، and identifying the relationship between them. In order to achieve these objectives and solve the problem، the descriptive comparative analytical approach was used. In the present study، the literature، theoretical features، and previous studies were reviewed to determine the principles and characteristics of the Islamic political system and the principles and characteristics of good governance. Similarly، it was used to define the concept of political participation in both perspectives، the legitimate evidence of political participation in Islamic political jurisprudence، and the saying of the theorists of good governance in the concept of political participation. The researcher also studied the practical examples of the Islamic state represented in the Covenant of the Prophet and the era of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs and the forms of contemporary political participation and its provisions. The emergence of political participation in good governance، its characteristics، its importance، and its components were studied. The importance of this study is that it highlights the issue of political participation، which is the most important factor influencing the process of development and political stability and the loss of it is an index of political crises، tyranny، and loss of legitimacy of the political system. The study reached a number of results، the most important of which is that political participation is a principle recognized by the Islamic political system and is the evidence of legitimacy for the political system in the perspective of good governance. Besides، there is no way to push political tyranny except through political participation as there is a positive relationship between development and stability، and political participation. The two perspectives agreed on certain objectives، means، and mechanisms such as the election and separation of powers and the right of the nation to be the source of authority. Conversely، they disagreed in some of the objectives، means، mechanisms، and controls such as sovereignty، reference، and controls in the election of the governor and the participation of women and non-Muslims. 2019 Thesis NonPeerReviewed application/pdf http://studentsrepo.um.edu.my/14602/1/Hakim_Mohammed.pdf Hakim Mohammed , Ahmed Alhusaini (2019) Political Participation between the Islamic political Jurisprudence and the Perspective of Good Governance / Hakim Mohammed Ahmed Alhusaini.
