Electronics Nuclear engineering The proliferation of IoT devices has introduced challenges, including high delay, increased energy consumption, and heavy load. This paper proposes a new energy-aware task offloading approach to improve energy efficiency and minimize latency in fog computing using the Gale Shapley Stable Marriage Matching technique. The proposed Gale Shapley Stable Marriage matching game focuses on one-to-one matching between four mobile devices and four fog nodes. By integrating energy availability and proximity into a single preference function, the algorithm can identify an ideal partner for task offloading that minimizes energy consumption and latency. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed technique reduces energy usage and latency by 31.36% and 30%, respectively.
