Montmorillonite-supported NiFe2O4 as magnetically separable and reusable oxidation catalyst

By supporting NiFe2O4 onto montmorillonite, the highly active and reusable catalyst for methyl violet oxidation was obtained. By using XRD, TEM, XPS, and VSM analyses, it is obtained that the concentration of precursor was a controlling factor to determine the specific surface area, NiFe2O4 particle...

Description
Summary:By supporting NiFe2O4 onto montmorillonite, the highly active and reusable catalyst for methyl violet oxidation was obtained. By using XRD, TEM, XPS, and VSM analyses, it is obtained that the concentration of precursor was a controlling factor to determine the specific surface area, NiFe2O4 particle size, and magnetism. It is found that adsorption influences the catalytic activity enhancement and the stability of catalysts.
