In an effort to find the definition of the term culture, the researcher found that there is a disparity between the western, Malay and Tamil scholars. Thus the researcher looked separately the view of western, Malay and Tamil scholars in order to see the relationship, strengths and weaknesses in the definition and concept of culture.
