Description
Summary:This course provides students with interdisciplinary training in assistive technology content. Students will discover regarding explicit disabilities and their impact on major life activities, become familiar with present legislation relating to assistive technology, gain experience with a range of assistive technology devices and products, discover a theoretical framework from which to make assistive technology assessment and intervention decisions, decide how to match appropriate assistive technology options with end users needs and preferences. Students will be evaluated not only on the course content from lectures and reading, but also on their performance in individual and team assistive technology activities, GUI interactions, contributions to class and case-study discussions, and attendance in class.
