Summary:This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of jewellery making includes knowledge of jewellery and fabrication skills. It is to give direct practical experience in the design and fabrication of contemporary and traditional jewellery, and to develop manual and creative skills. Basic metal manipulation and developing proficiency with the tools of jewellery making are essential to this course. The student will explore the elements of design, various materials and beginning techniques of working with a variety of materials while developing the ability to execute simple jewellery designs of their own creation.
