Description
Summary:This course aims at introducing students to the activity of analysis as a basis to creating design. This studio-base course which is a semester long project will also required students to be actively exploring the aspect of emotion and semantic studies in design to promote creative result. Early introduction to manufacturing standards and requirement will also be given as a guideline to the product manufacturability. This new information will be shared amongst and between course mates. The theory presented at this stage is an intangible aspect to other Industrial Design subjects. At this stage students will learn to apply emotions as a distinctive factor to design, which meets cultural demands for meaning, user-friendliness, and fun as well as the opportunities beyond the emerging information society.
