Summary:Technical Drawing (IDT167) course is a combination of manual and digital type of technical drawing course, to give skills and understanding to students in order for them to produce technical drawing either using manual technique or computer-aided software (CAD). This course provides instruction on producing drawings utilizing a computer for products, furniture, interior, transports and more. Students will be introduced and trained from manually technique of technical drawing to digitally draw (technical drawing using CAD) . This course intended to introduce students to basic concepts of Computer-Aided Design. Students will be introduce or will become more skillful on applying manual CAD and also in the computer production such as lettering, notation, geometric constructions, editing tools, drawing organization, multi-view drawings, dimension techniques, plotting, auxiliary views, section views, assembly drawings, blocks, concentrate in aspects of theory and method of CAD, 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional drawing such as detailing, lines, dimension, orthographic, isometric, exploded, cross-section, assembling and other standard drafting procedures also the introduction to solid modeling. Students also can learn the conversion from isometric (a single-angle-view) to orthographic (two or more straight views) and from orthographic to isometric visualization and perspective rendering.
