Summary:Defects and failures are common phenomena in construction industry. Negative impacts may arise towards cost, duration and resources of projects. Furthermore, if this situation is left untreated, it will lead to more serious problems in the future upcoming construction project in Malaysia. This report focuses on the contribution factors of building defects that significantly needed attention either still under construction or completed. There are a lot of defects to the school especially in terms of workmanship and material. The study is conducted to identify the types of building defect occur in school building in Pasir Gudang district. Data was collected through interview reviews and document reviews. The inspection of building defects was carried out by a site supervisor and a technician.
