Description
Summary:Ceramic Art & Context is dedicated to individual directions of independent studio practice. Students are to conduct in-depth individual research and experiments of ideas, materials and processes culminating into a comprehensive self-directed project with close guidance from a team of lecturers. Individual technical experimentation and conceptual exploration is encouraged. Through group critiques, seminars and oral presentations students develop their own critical dialog and an expansive view of contemporary art. At this point, the student goes deeper into an artistic form of expressions, studies general problems confronted by this medium in contemporary art and increases his/her knowledge about representative artist in particular. At the end of the semester student will present (display and oral presentation) their complete art work for evaluation.
