The foundation of a building or civil structure is the element that connects it to the ground. It is located at the very bottom of the construction, in direct contact with the soil, and acts to transfer loads safely from the building to the ground. The depth of the soil in which a foundation is laid determines whether it is shallow or deep. The objective of this report is to study construction methods of pad footing, to identify the type of foundation used for the construction building and to determine the problems and solutions for substructures during construction of pad footing. This report also will look at the process construction of pad footing which is pad footing are a form of spread foundation formed by rectangular, square, or occasionally circular concrete ‘pads’ that support localized single point loads such as structural columns, groups of columns or framed structures.
