An internship can provide-a student with professional work experience in a safe and structural environment with guidance from experts. Internship help students to master professional skills such as communication, responsibility and technical skills that might be useful in future career. The objective of this course programme is to give students exposure and opportunity for them to embark in the real-life working experience. Elentec (M) Sdn Bhd was my choice to undergo my 21 weeks of industrial training. The company was known as a main electronic firm. During the 21 weeks period of industrial training, I was supervised by Mr Rosli Bin Mohd Aris have been assigned to accomplish various tasks which included quality management systems (ISO 9001 :2015), environmental management systems (ISO 14001 :2015), environmental operations management regulations, keeping samples management procedure, hazardous substance work procedure, maintenance, total productive maintenance, 5S, statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode effect analysis training (FMEA). Throughout my industrial training, I was able to apply the skill and knowledge acquired from lectures to complete my work in practice. On the other hand, as a trainee, a good attitude is a must to have in order to follow and complete the instructions given although it is miscellaneous work. Lastly, within 4 months of industrial training, I had gained uncountable knowledge and experience and understand more about the roles of chemical engineers in the electronic industry.
