The orientation program for new students of Universiti Teknologi MARA Pahang / Mastura Aris, Nurul Aniza Anuar and Siti Nur Atiqah Asahari

Orientation Program is the program that conducted for a new student. This program has become a tradition for most of the high education institution. The objective of this program is to give a clear picture of the university that will include about the courses, environments, club, social, activity and so on. Within this program the new students will be guided on how to live independently and be able to adapt and adopt the environment around them. This study tries to identify the effectiveness of the Orientation Program and also the satisfaction among the new students who involve with the Orientation Program at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Jengka, Pahang. In order to gain data and information about the effectiveness of the program and the students' satisfaction, we use questionnaire. Therefore we have used cluster sampling technique and then selected the students' randomly which focusing on faculty of Office Management and Technology students'. Our 30 respondents are from both diploma and degree students', which consisted one class degree students' from STPM and seven class of diploma students'. This study found that, most of the respondents agreed that the program should be continued in the future and they also agreed that the Orientation Program had given benefit to them. This shows that there were significant relationship with students' satisfaction and effectiveness of the Orientation Program conducted in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Jengka, Pahang.
