Description
Summary:My Batik design is represented by beetroots through the variety of motifs and colours. Beetroot is also known as Beta vulgaris. Beetroot as a source of natural dye can range in colour from red to pink to orange. Furthermore, the colour has a very active ph levels of acid and alkali that is sensitive and easily affected by temperature and the surrounding environment. My designs are created digitally using Adobe Illustrator software where I explore creative designs using a repeat pattern arrangement. The designs are focused on the detailed shape of beetroot and leaves, making my overall design appear more classic. I highlight intricacy of hand drawn batik by using fine lines to create texture in my design.
