Summary: | The purpose of this paper to investigates the factors that affect the performances of firms in Malaysia construction industry. It is observed that investors are highly interested in the performance of firms listed in the Bursa Malaysia Stock Exchange. Empirical evidence gives little indication of identifying the casual relationship between financial structure of a firm and its firm performances. This investigation has been performed using panel data procedure for a sample of Malaysian listed companies on the Bursa Malaysia Stock Exchange which focus on the firms in the construction industry. The data of construction firms has been gathered from annual reports and data stream in order to test the hypothesis regression model is applied. This research also investigates the independent variables which are net profit margin (NPM), debt ratio (DR), quick ratio (QR) and operating margin (OPM) of the company as a significant factors and positive impact on performances of the firms.
