Description
Summary:This course requires students to understand technical knowledge and artisan skills with material form and contextual issues in the craft design discipline. Project address the conceptual, material and functional understanding of three-dimensional objects in craft and its associated materials. It provides the opportunity to investigate basic craft techniques and production. This course is supported by theories such as the Art and Craft Movements, form and function, styles and trend. Craft making in other cultures, historical and contemporary, will also be explored.
