Description
Summary:Generally speaking, education is utilized in three senses which are knowledge, subject and a process. In English, the term "Education" has been derived from two Latin words Educare (Educere) and Educatum. ''Educare'' means to train or mould. It again means to bring up or to lead out or to draw out, propulsion from inward to outward. The term "Educatum" denotes the act of teaching. It throws light on the principles and practice of teaching. The term Educare or Educere mainly indicates development of the latent faculties of the child. But child does not know these possibilities. It is the educator or the teacher who can know these and take appropriate methods to develop those powers said Swami Vivekananda (2014). Leadership is about influence and the ability to influence your subordinates, your peers, and your bosses in a work or organizational context. Based on The Leadership and Teaching Journal by Sarah Conoir (2007), without influence, it is impossible to be a leader. Of course, having influence means that there is a greater need on the part of leaders to exercise their influence ethically said leadership operates in groups. This means that leadership is about influencing a group of people who are engaged in a common goal or purpose. Leadership includes the achievement of goals. Therefore, Conoir also said that leadership is about directing a group of people toward the accomplishment of a task or the reaching of an endpoint through various ethically based means. New technologies are transforming current literacies and literacy practices, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Hagood, Stevens & Reinking (2003) stated that these new technologies give impact on literacy instruction in classrooms. They build on foundational literacies and skills, such as comprehension, phonics, vocabulary knowledge, phonemic awareness, writing, and spelling. Learners need to continue to build on these foundational literacies and skills in order to adopt and adjust to literacies of the future.
