Mechanical properties of kedondong, meranti and mersawa effected by boiling treatments / Faridwajdi Mohd Noh
Solid wood is an important material that have been used in furniture making. This research is to determine the mechanical properties of bending and compression testing of small clear specimen from kedondong, meranti and mersawa. Boiling treatment have been used during this research for 1 hour and 2...

Boiling treatment have been used during this research for 1 hour and 2 hours period and also air dry specimen control. Although this three species come out with same group strength but the results are different because of several factor that influence of their mechanical strength. Mersawa perform better strength for both bending and compression. All species have a high quality potential to be a wood bending product using the boiling treatment. 2012 Student Project NonPeerReviewed text en https://ir.uitm.edu.my/id/eprint/76609/1/76609.PDF Mechanical properties of kedondong, meranti and mersawa effected by boiling treatments / Faridwajdi Mohd Noh.
