"Praeludium and Allegro" is one of the most famous violin repertoire when it comes to the violin pedagogy due to the pieces' technicality and ability to showcase a performer's virtuosic capabilities. The research is being carried out as a result of there being a variety of violin techniques found throughout the piece. Even so, the research will compare and contrast two performances of "Praeludium and Allegro" one by Kerson Leong and another by Gil Shaham. The objectives of this research are to identify challenging sections within the piece of "Praeludium and Allegro" by Fritz Kreisler and to investigate the comparison and contrast playing style from the Kerson Leong and Gil Shaham performance videos. This study employs secondary data for its research, including score analysis and audio-visual analysis techniques. This study employs the qualitative method because it comprises conducted interviews and short studies without samples. The results of this study are that the identification of the challenging techniques found in the piece as well as how an aspiring violinist can approach its interpretation. The purpose of this research is a contribution of knowledge for other violinists or performers that are enthusiastic in the journey of learning a challenging repertoire. This research brings further understanding of these techniques.
