Description
Summary:Zakat is one of the important means in eradicating poverty among Muslims. Therefore, zakat has been prescribed by Allah SWT in the fifth pillar of Islam and it is obligatory to be fulfilled by all able Muslims. There are many types of zakat in Islam such as business zakat, gold zakat, agricultural zakat and so on. The collection and distribution of zakat is very important in the zakat management system in the zakat centers of each state. For example, in Selangor, every zakat-related activity is managed by the only Selangor Zakat Board (LZS). The Selangor Zakat Board is responsible for handling related matters including the collection and distribution of zakat in the state of Selangor. In addition, the Selangor Zakat Board also organizes several welfare programs for asnafs in the state of Selangor, such as the asnaf entrepreneur program called asnaf, which is allocated to run its own business. Therefore, this study that I have conducted aims to analyze the challenges of asnaf entrepreneurs in the state of Selangor under Teraju Usahawan Asnaf (TERAS) during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are various initiatives taken by TERAS in overcoming this problem. Therefore, this study has two objectives. First, identify what challenges are faced by asnaf entrepreneurs in Selangor in addition to the COVID-19 pandemic. Next, get information on TERAS 'efforts in elevating asnaf entrepreneurs to succeed in the business world, especially in this challenging COVID-19 pandemic season. To achieve this objective, the study was conducted by interviewing the Entrepreneur Development Sector Manager, Puan Fasihah Binti Mat Radzi to ask some questions from her.
