Summary:Hillside community planning is defined as high-challenging development of the human settlement. The hillside itself is categorized as an environmentally sensitive area due to prone to the environmental hazards. Thus, urban dwellers nowadays have met with the population pressure in an urban sprawl, which has increased the demand for hillside development. Taman Hillview has the potential to be develop as hillside community landscape planning towards hill slope conservation, improving community safety and regulating guidelines of hillside development through sustainable landscape design. Since it was abandoned due to landslide event that has led towards degradation of land and inadequate subsurface natural water flow and water runoff. The study describes detail in which development of hillside park can be considered as landscape buffer or transition zones to prevent the sensitive of hillside area from excessive land development. As a result, this research design provides preservation and conservation of natural forest responds to the community safety and belongingness.
