There are two types of fire safety system which are active and passive fire safety system. The problem statement for this research is identified for older college buildings were the floor escape doors, which were not fire certified doors. Other that, no competent individual in charge of precisely handling health and safety problems in order to lead the administration toward creating a safe residential college building. Lastly, in fire safety management, such as building administration, they did not implement any fire safety plan into the buildings, they do not even have a fire safety certificate, and they clearly do not have a direct link system to the nearest fire station. The aim of this research is to accessing the student’s awareness towards fire safety system at UiTM Kota Samarahan residential college. There are 3 objective to achieve the aim which are to identify the elements of fire safety system in residential college, to investigate the level of awareness of student on fire safety system and to recommend the strategies in improving the fire safety system. The method of this research study are by using questionnaire survey for primary data, literature review for secondary data and being analysed by SPSS software.
