Learning to speak is a long and difficult process. Jamilah Abdul Hamid (1989). It will take time and patient both for the teacher and the learner to learn the second language and using it. In view of this, the process of learning has to be continuous and there must be plenty of practice and drillings needed. This study was carried among 100 primary 4, 5, 6 pupils both males and females and confined to SK Kambug, Ulu Padawan only. The objective of the study was to determine the factors affecting speaking problems among these groups of students. Questionnaires were distributed to these students and 12 English teachers and 10 parents were interviewed. After the data and the interviewed questions were analyised, it was concluded in the findings that factors affecting these problems were due to attitudes, linguistics, unmotivated and environment. With the knowledge on speaking added in the literature review and the reasons of the causes available it was hope that it would be and added impetus to work extra hard to correct the problems.
