Summary: | The aims of this study to identify the implication of maintenance work to space management in University Technology Mara (UITM) Branch Campuses regarding on academic space. Basically, maintenance work within space is vital in university. As we already know, majority of the activities of learning and teaching are conducted within the space in university. However, many public universities are dealing with issue of maintenance works to space management as it can be considered as poor in state. It already proven that, the practice of maintenance work within the space is very crucial in order to maintain the space condition and function. Generally, the maintenance work comprises five main work which are repair, replace, upgrade, service and renovate Based on data obtained, the frequency of each maintenance work conducted within selected case study is different from one another. At the same, several issues regarding on maintenance work have been founded for each participated campus which can be quite concerned. Besides, majority of respondents fully aware the important of maintenance work for their campus. Thus, the main objective of this study is to determine the frequency of maintenance work to space management at UITM branch campuses, to identify the issue of maintenance work to space management in UITM branch campuses and to investigate the importance of maintenance work to space management in UITM branch campuses. |
