Summary: | Every time a Muslim tourist travels to a new travel destination, often times they would find difficulty bringing their personal belongings and travel necessities such as clothes, toiletries, shoes, and prayer items. These items will undoubtedly consume a big space in their luggage. As a result, the ‘Prayer Mate Jacket’ is innovated to overcome this problem. Prayer Mate Jacket is a 2-in-1 convertible product that combines a jacket and a prayer mat. The main goal of developing this product is to ensure the convenience of Muslim travelers and to enable them to perform their prayers anywhere suitable while travelling with the existence of this product. The travelers can be fashionable with the usage of the jacket while at the same time can use it as a convertible prayer mat. Consequently, it will free up lots of space in their luggage. Prayer Mate Jacket is innovated with a goal to penetrate the Muslim industry and eventually become a fashion statement in the industry. As prayer items need to be ensured of their Muslim-friendly and halal status, Prayer Mate Jacket has gone through a lot of procedures before producing it such as Product Design, Fabric Selection, Inspection, and others. In addition to its functionality, this product also aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) No. 9; Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, No. 10; Reduced Inequalities, and No. 16, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. Henceforth, it is affirmed that this product has a high market potential to penetrate this industry. |
