Unfired Marine Sediment Composite Brick (UMSeCB) / Mohd Fadzil Arshad … [et al.]
UMSeCB is a novel clay brick that was produced using formulated marine sediment without firing process. The novelty of UMSeCB Strats with a formulation of marine sediment composite as major material in the production of fired brick. Marine sediment that was reported as problematic waste material to...

The novelty of UMSeCB Strats with a formulation of marine sediment composite as major material in the production of fired brick. Marine sediment that was reported as problematic waste material to the marine industries and environment was collected and processed with specific formulation and composite concept that is suitable for UMSeCB Production. UMSeCB. Was designed to have properties of normal brick that satisfies the standard requirement and specification of MS76 but properties of brick can be adjusted to have better properties depending on the needs of client. Utilization of marine sediment in UMSeCB production will become tangible platform in preserving marine ecosystem and reducing environmental pollution due to huge discharge of this material. Besides, production of UMSeCB is believed to give an economic value to marine sediment, reducing the government budget to manage the sediment and reducing demand of normal clay for brick production.
