So, it will be an asset to the investigator developing a logical approach to the assessment of the building envelope in order to focus on fundamental defects rather than outward symptoms. The benefits of the condition-based maintenance programs lie in elimination of many time-based maintenance tasks, in exchange for maintenance tasks deemed necessary due to the actual condition of the equipment. While the specific condition is always monitored during normal operation, its evaluation serves to better manage the life and therefore the reliability of a specific asset.
