At least 1,000 Malaysian children are estimated to be victims of child abuse and neglect each year. Child abuse is a major global issue that has a long-term influence on a child's physical and mental health, well-being, and development – and is thus a problem for society as a whole. Child abuse occurs all across the world, including Malaysia, yet it is still under-reported, as it is in other countries. The research objectives are to identify the importance of raising awareness of Child Abuse in the communities and to create awareness and as a resource guide for educators, caregivers and parents so they can take the solutions needed for this issue. The research questions are how this can help to stop and prevent child abuse and is it necessary to raise more awareness of this issue among the community? The method used to conduct this research is a quantitative method by conducting a survey by using Google Form. The sample size is around 100 responses among the communities in Kelantan. The majority of the respondents agree that multimedia is the best medium to spread awareness on this issue by using website and application. To conclude, Child Abuse is a very important issue that is still happening in Malaysia.
