Description
Summary:The fulfillment of this report.emphasize on the major hydraulic structures that being used in the irrigation schemes in Malaysia and their water delivery problems. The irrigation systems that being applied in Malaysia mostly follows the gravitational flow system. This is found out to be the most economical systems to be adopted as the water will allowed to flow freely on its own. This will reduce the operation and maintenance cost tremendously. The hydraulic structures will ensure the utilization of the water from their various sources to be used to its optimum to yield a maximum crop. To study the management of the schemes in their quest to produce the maximum yield, will require a lot of factors to be taken into consideration. This means a very wide scope of research which will have to be done and may take years to complete. In our study, we only based our scope on the irrigation systems of each major schemes in Peninsular Malaysia with.
