Summary:This study aims to investigate the issues of students’ communication interaction difficulties in using English language to speak. The study focuses on a few areas which includes some factors that will give explanations due to the difficulty faces by students of SMK Ketengah Jaya in using English as their second language. Based on some questions, the interviews and questionnaireswere administrated to the teachers and form five students of SMK Ketengah Jaya. The result of the study indicates that there are some factors that inhibit students to freely use the second language. Influenced by mother tongue, limited exposure, anxiousness, practice and communicative proficiency inhibits the students’ meaningful opportunity for oral communication with the teacher and classmate, which is very important for second language learning. Through this study, the self-confidence is meaningfully related with the confidence levels of the students in the English language classroom interactions communication.Teachers’ approach towards students’ performance in the learning process of second language was found to be mostly important. Surrounded by so many factors, Students’ perceptions of their ability to involve with the meaningful communication for English language classroom activity tend to be demotivated to use English language to speak or to communicate well.
