This chapter also highlights the scope, the significance of die study and the theoretical underpinning. Finally, a study framework is developed. 1.2 Sexual Harassment in the Workplace Issue Sexual harassment is known as global phenomenon that affects all working class regardless of age, gender, social status or work category. It can also occur in different setting of environment such as in the academic, public and workplace (Kamal et al, 2011). Before we look further into the issue, it is important to know the definition of sexual harassment. Sexual harassment defined as an unwelcome or uninvited behaviour or sexual nature, which offensive, discomforting, threatening or humiliating and may affect an employee's work performance, health, career or livelihood (Sabitha M., 2000).
