Description
Summary:Absenteeism has become one of the major problems in the most countries in the world. The issues have raised concerns in Malaysia as there were high number of students who was absent to school which reported 67,053 students. Therefore this study examines the level of behavioral intention to absenteeism among students in SMK Taman Ria. A cross sectional survey was applied and used in this study. The numbers of questionnaire distributed were 242 completed questionnaire by only 233 questionnaire returned and useable. The data obtained were analyzed and these following findings were found out. On the one hand, all of independent variables (attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control) have a significant relationship with the behavioral intention to absenteeism, on the other hand, the level of intention was very low. Hence, future research must study another factor that lead to behavioral intention toward absenteeism among the students.
