Recycling is an approach want to reduce the amount of solid waste disposed of. However, the recycling rate in Malaysia remains low compared to neighbouring countries. A simple and comfortable recycling can improve recycling practices in the community. The research approach used is field study and case study. It is based on observation method and feedback results of questionnaire from 50 respondents that have been received base on stratified random sampling and quota sampling. In this study, data were obtained through questionnaires, participatory observations and field studies. The findings show the majority of solid waste disposed of in at zone commercial Wakaf Che Yeh has the potential to be recycled. When a one -stream recycling system is run, the level of community involvement in the recycling system is moderate. However, the one -stream recycling system shows effectiveness based on the increasing collection of recyclables each week. In addition, the challenges of implementing a single -stream recycling system were identified for future improvement of recycling programs.
