However, the number of accidents involving motorcycle in Malaysia shows the second highest number of crashes compared to others type of vehicle. Statistic of PDRM shows that at least 15% of total motorcycle fatalities in the Malaysia occurred in Selangor which is the most developed state after the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. The objectives of this study are to identify the characteristics of the motorcycle accidents and to determine the factors that contribute to the motorcycle fatal crashes. In order to achieve these objectives, 700 cases have been selected for this study and being analysed by using Logistic Regression. The number of fatal accident percentage among men is higher than female. Meanwhile, the number of victims in motorcycle accidents were mostly Malaysian compared to foreigner. In term of area, motorcycle accidents are more likely occurred in urban area instead of rural area. The highest percentage of calendar effect is during weekdays and always happened during the day compared at night. The variables that significant for this study were area occurred, age and time of day. Among these significant variables, the area has become the most influenced factor of motorcycle fatalities. Thus, the government and young people play huge role by taking an initiative in order to reduce the number of motorcycle fatalities accident.
