Summary:This study focused to determine the relationship between the Sarawak election and Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) stock market cumulative abnormal return, and the effect of Sarawak election toward stock market cumulative for 9th,10th and 11th election. This data used for this study is secondary data which collected from the Bursa Malaysia Knowledge Center. generated from Thomson Router software, Google Finance, and Yahoo Finance. The data consist of the 4320 data on daily closing price for the 3 times election assessed from Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) pick 24 Sarawak-based listed companies in the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) Main Market from many industries such as industry product, trading/services. plantation, property and construction. The results and finding summarize that there is a significant relationship and the effect of Sarawak election with stock market cumulative abnormal return. The further research suggested a new study for the similar topic with this study.
