The purpose of this study is to analyze the music elements and lyrics in Lost Stars by Danielle Brisboise. The primary source for this study is an in-depth analysis on the transcribed scores. The music elements that can be explored through the song are rhythm, dynamics, melody, harmony, tone colour, texture and form. However, only harmony and melody will be analyzed. For the lyrics, the meaning of the selected lines will be explained based on the idea of figurative of language. This can be a guide for composition students to expand their creativity in terms of music theory-wise and writing a clear and creative text for lyrics.
