Description
Summary:The stroke accuracy had become a method in racquet sports in comparing the proficiency of an athlete performance. Although robust studies have been done on expert-novice athlete, limited research has been done using intermediate subjects in determine the relationship of stroke accuracies. Thus, this study was designed to determine the stroke accuracy among intermediate compared with novice badminton players. A total number of thirty (n = 30) intermediate subjects from Gombak Badminton squad and thirty (n = 30) novice subjects from Badminton academy were employed in this study. A cross-sectional study design was conducted in this study. Adopted badminton stroke accuracy from Phomsoupha & Laffaye, (2015) was used as instrumentation in measuring the stroke accuracy within the intermediate and novice subjects. Pearson correlation coefficient analysis and independent sample t- test were implemented in determination of correlation of stroke accuracy within subjects and the differences in mean score between intermediate and novice. The results showed that intermediate showed significant differences in stroke accuracy compared to novice with p < 0.000.
