The objective of this study is to see the sectorial performance affecting the performance of Kuala Lumpur Composite Index. In this study, samples are taken from four (4) sectors in Main Board of Bursa Malaysia. The selected sectors are: Consumer Product, Industrial Products, Properties, and Plantations. This study highlights the relationship between sectorial indices and the KLCI during the world crisis. The data consists of daily basis closing indices prices of four (4) sectors as at the beginning of 2001 over a five (5) years period from January 2001 to December 2005. The method used is Generalize Least Square in order to analyze the data.The findings show all the sectors except plantation are significant relationship to the performance of KLCI under period of study. Means that only plantation does not give the impact to the movement of index in KLCI. The result also represent, there is a positive relationship between Industrial product, Consumer product with KLCI, where as the property, plantation have negative relationship with KLCI.
