This research aimed at finding the most effective activity of the Schema Theory and its implications on the students. This research applied the pre test and post test method in determining the effectiveness of the Schema Theory activities. The treatment sessions took about one and a half months. The findings showed that the schema theory is effective in facilitating reading comprehension among the LEP students in rural schools. It was apparent through the data analysis, the results showed significant improvement in the students' scores. The semantic mapping strategy and brainstorming strategy were observed to be the most effective pre-reading activities. The students participated actively towards the activities carried out.
