This study was conducted to study of Assessing the Suitability of Implementing the Smart City Concept at Kangar, Perlis. The study involved assessment which is a questionnaire to support this research study. The goal of this study is to be assessing the effectiveness of smart city components at Kangar, Perlis. Moreover, this study covered the smart city components which are nine (9) components of smart cities. The smart component chosen for this study is smart technology. The smart city is a designation given to a city that incorporates information and communication technologies meanwhile smart technologies refer to the key for developing, implementing, and managing in various component of technologies included infrastructure, building and more. Besides, this purpose of the study to collect data about the suitability to be implementing the smart city concept at Kangar, Perlis using the questionnaire form. The data will be analysed and determine to suit the research study that can create a good recommendation by solving the study issues. Lastly, recommendations consist of smart digital light, solar smart beach, 5g fibre optic and open access for digital wi-fi spots are determine the success and suitability to be implementing smart city concept at Kangar, Perlis in the future.
